The automotive landscape in Algeria, which has been in decline since the eight-year crisis, could find a new lease of life with a new offering from elsewhere.
Easy MicroDrive is setting up in Algeria with a bold gamble: marketing license-free and electric vehicles!
Currently established in France, its catalog includes:
an electric scooter with a maximum range of 50 km.

and a 2-seater electric car without a license with a maximum announced autonomy of 125km and a maximum speed of 45km thanks to a 3Kw motor and a Li-Ion battery that recharges at a public terminal in six hours and on a standard 220V domestic socket.
Positioning itself as an affordable license-free car that costs less than €7,000 including tax in France, this new French brand aims to conquer the Algerian market. The challenge seems ambitious given the current uncertainty in the Algerian automotive market, as well as the current legislation on this type of vehicle, and even more so, the adoption of this mode of transport by Algerians, which is not met in the country. In the past, the Ligier brand had attempted the adventure in Algeria without success; nevertheless, we wish more success for this young brand.
