The 4CV landed in Algeria in the 1950s

The Renault 4CV is the first post-war French small car. It was built from 1947 - 1961 mainly in the Boulogne Billancourt factories in Paris (France) as well as in Spain, Belgium and Australia. Transport between the French and Algerian coasts being done very well by sea, it was however preferable to use air transport when it came to transporting them to southern Algeria. The small dimensions of the 4cv also allowed them to travel on regular lines.
